Comprehensive Eye Care Examination

We offer comprehensive eye exams including near and distance vision testing, glasses and contact lens prescriptions, and detailed examinations of each aspect of ocular function and health. These examinations include screening for glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, retina vascular and degenerative diseases, cataracts, dry eye syndrome, thyroid eye disease, amblyopia among others.

We have services for all ages, infant to adult, with well trained staff and technicians who seek to provide patient-centered care.

What to expect at your visit

New patients will be required to fill out paper work, which can be found on our website at this link or will provided to you by the front desk staff. You will be asked to present your medical/health insurance information for appropriate billing. You will then be called back by one of our excellent technicians who will perform one or more or a combination of the following:

  • Obtain appropriate medical history including your reason for the office visit, past medical and surgical history, social history, allergies, medications, family history
  • Vision screening with and without correction (glasses or contacts)
  • Refraction
  • Intraocular pressure measurement
  • Ocular Motility and Functional Visual Field Screening
  • Pupil exam
  • Any other testing which may be deemed appropriate based on your history or exam
  • You will then be dilated which may take 10-30 minutes to take effect. You will wait in the dilating area during this time.
  • After appropriate dilation, Dr. Davis will examine you and determine if further testing or treatment is necessary.
  • Your total visit time will usually range from 1.5 to 2 hours.
  • Please feel free to bring a book or tablet device for quiet entertainment while you wait. Please ask for water if needed.
